Welcome to our chess program
Why choose us
Calusa Preparatory School admits students of any race, creed, color, and national or ethnic origin.
Chess Program is the latest addition to our Sports Program that includes basketball, football, baseball, soccer and volleyball. We believe that sports and academic excellence go hand in hand – mens sana in corpore sano. Go Colts!
Calusa Preparatory's curriculum is superior to most curriculums. Stanford Achievement Tests are given to all students in Kindergarten through the 11th grade, and the College Boards are required to be taken by all 12th grades.
Teachers are college graduates with certification. The teacher-student ratio ranges from 1:22 in the first grade to 1:30 in the 12th grade.
As a chess expert I basically have two dominant areas of expertise: coaching and teaching chess as an elective subject (both scholastically and academically). I would like to use this opportunity to nurture young players’ growth and help them succeed both academically and in their chess careers.
How to apply
Contacting our International Coordinator and our Athletic Director Mr. Rade Džambić is your first step towards a successful application to the Calusa Chess Program.
